A bit about me…
Hello! I’m Jodi: I’m a psychological therapist, run coach and personal trainer. I’m also an avid trail runner with a love for adventures.
I didn’t necessarily set out on this career path, but it’s evolved over years and finding out what make me happy, and aligns to my values. Being a psychotherapist with 20+ years’ experience, I am all about people and the power of relationships and connection. Combining my run coaching and personal training with mindset work and psychological therapy seemed like a no-brainer.

Experience
I have over 25 years of experience, mostly in the NHS and public sector and always with the focus of helping people improve their health and wellbeing. I have worked as a therapist and clinical lead of psychological therapies. I currently work with people with long term conditions who would like to get more active, but find it difficult due to disability, health, or individual circumstances.
My run coaching has emerged from a growing passion for trail running, and a fascination with how we can best help people to improve physical and psychological performance. My greatest thrill is hearing a client tell me how much they’re enjoying running, how they feel strong and capable, and how their self-esteem is blossoming.

Qualifications
I’m evidence-based, which means I use tools and techniques taken from the best available research and clinical expertise. I’m always on the look-out for the latest research and developments, and prioritise my CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
I draw on a variety of models and disciplines, depending on the needs of my clients. My qualifications and training include:
* UESCA Ultrarunning Coach (2025)
* PGDip Health Psychology: University of Southampton, 2004
* England Athletics: Coach in Running Fitness (CiRF), 2024
* CIMSPA Personal Trainer Practitioner (Level 3), 2024
* England Athletics: Leadership in Running Fitness (LiRF), 2020
* PGDip High Intensity Psychological Therapies (Merit): University of Exeter, 2009

Running & adventuring
My personal running journey is all about challenging myself to find my potential and live life to the full. I want to stay fit and healthy for as long as possible, and want my clients to feel the same. I love trail running, and the adventure and challenge of ultramarathons. You’ll sooner find me on a hill top, than on tarmac or a running track. I’ve learnt a huge amount along the way and I’d love to be able to use my insights to benefit you too.
